Alerts come as phone notifications. There are no text messages and no phone charges from this board.

How the sound works
While a window of this site is open, shots and safety alerts play the compound chime.
When no window is open, or the phone is locked, you hear the phone or computer notification sound. A service worker cannot play the compound chime file. iPhone, Android, and desktop browsers all work this way. The alert is still marked urgent: it stays up until you dismiss it where the computer allows that, it asks the phone to buzz where Android allows that, and a repeat uses a new notification so the sound can play again.
Allow notifications for Three Mile Creek, and leave the sound on for this site.
Turn up the ringer or the notification volume. Video and music volume is a separate control.
On iPhone, leave the side switch set to ring. In Settings, open Notifications, then Three Mile Creek, and turn on Allow Notifications and Sounds. If Time Sensitive Notifications is listed, turn that on too. A website cannot flip that switch.
iPhone does not buzz for a website alert, and it puts the banner away on its own. Safari 16.4 or newer, added to the Home Screen, is required. Open the app from that icon before you turn alerts on.
On Android, Chrome can buzz. If this site was ever set to silent, open the Chrome notification settings for Three Mile Creek and turn the sound back on. Android keeps a silent choice.
On a computer, turn on notification sounds in the system settings. Chrome and Edge can keep the alert on screen until you clear it. Firefox and Safari may hide it sooner.
Focus, Do Not Disturb, Sleep, and Low Power Mode can hold the alert back. Those settings win.
Hunting alerts go to your sector and the sectors next to it. Weather, public safety alerts, and burn bans can go to the whole compound when Emergencies and weather hazards is on. Family alerts follow the household they are linked to, including the sectors next to that home. Open the weather page to read what to do.
